Also available is a rubbish service, located in a trailer next to the caretaker compound and opposite the camping ground. This service accepts domestic rubbish only including recyclables. Hard waste must not be placed in the trailer - it should be taken to Northcliffe Transfer Station.

The Volunteer Marine Rescue Group monitors the Windy Harbour coastline via the marine radio and is operational during callouts. To become a volunteer member, call 9776 8384 or email whvmr@westnet.com.au.

Dogs are permitted to stay at Windy Harbour in the private huts, but not in the camping ground. Parts of the beach are designated dog exercise areas. Check out the map here.
