Have you considered the impacts on people?
This is the question at the forefront of environmental health. The Shire's Environmental Health Services team answers this question on your behalf, aiming to keep the Shire free of the environmental health impacts that may occur when the public are exposed to hazardous substances and environments. Environmental health studies show how the environment (air, water, soil, physical, chemical, biological and social) influences and impacts human health.
Services include, but are not limited to, food safety, accommodation, water (drinking, waste and recreational), noise, pollution, nuisances, event safety, street trading, public building safety, offensive trades, infectious disease and sanitation.
Environmental Health Services' role is governed by many different sets of legislation from Acts, Regulations, codes of practice and standards.
