Temporary CEO Appointed

On 4 May 2023 Council voted to appoint Brian Robinson as Temporary Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Robinson will act in the role until such time as a permanent appointment is made later in the year.

“Mr Robinson has been with the Shire as the Director of Development and Regulation since February 2016 and has performed the role of Acting CEO numerous times. Council is unified in its support for Mr Robinson as Temporary CEO” said Shire President Paul Omodei.

“Mr Robinson will take the leadership role during a time of major changes to the structure of Council leading up to the 2023 local government elections. He has a long history working in Local Government, Council is confident in the appointment, and we look forward to working closely while the recruitment process plays out, which is expected to take several months” Cr Omodei added.

Mr Robinson is confident he will transition into the role, with minimal disruption to the organisation. “I thank Council for this opportunity and the support I have received from the Senior Management Team and other Shire officers. I’ll be doing my best for the organisation and our communities.” said Mr Robinson.

“On behalf of Council and staff I wish outgoing CEO Andrew Campbell the very best with his new position and move to the Shire of Northampton. Andrew has left a legacy to Manjimup, being CEO through one of the highest periods of economic growth for district,” Mr Robinson added.

Mr Robinson will officially commence as the Temporary Chief Executive Officer on 18 May 2023.
