"The Shire is delighted to have won the award for this category" commented Shire President Paul Omodei. "The award acknowledges the best public works project that delivers the greatest benefit for the community. This is a great achievement for Manjimup given last year's winner for the same category was the Busselton Foreshore upgrade project."
Earlier this the year, the Shire submitted its nomination for the Awards that showcased the benefits provided to the community from the upgrade to the Highway and adjacent roads. IPWEA states "In Western Australia, public works engineering projects of the highest calibre continue to be delivered to the community, often without due recognition." They go on to say "The public works engineering sector deserves to be showcased and, by nominating for the awards, you are not only making your organisation's presence felt but also benchmarking your project against the very best in industry."
