Policies are made by Council, under the direction of Section 2.7(2)(b) of the Local Government Act 1995. They are designed to provide clear guidance to staff and members of the public on courses of action in particular circumstances. The policies are generally reviewed every four years to ensure the policy is relevant and in line with current standards of practice. The policies are categorised by department.
