The Shire of Manjimup would like to see our residents get behind and support the businesses in Brockman Street Manjimup whilst the construction works for the roof structure are underway.
As part of the Town Centre Revitalisation project funded by the Royalties for Regions initiative, Brockman Street, between Giblett and Rose Street will undergo a massive transformation including a roof structure and redesigned streetscape creating a welcoming and multi-use town square.
"Whilst it is inevitable that there will be some disruptions during construction, it is important to remember that the medium term outcome will lead to a massive regional and community benefit, complementing the recent works in the CBD and creating an accessible, multi purpose community space" said Andrew Campbell, Chief Executive Officer.
"The street is open, street parking is available and the footpaths will remain open at all times. It would be fantastic to see the community really support the businesses in Brockman Street throughout the construction phase of project, if you haven't visited these businesses before, make now the time to do so" Andrew added.
Site works commenced on the footings last week and it is expected that the erection of the roof structure will commence in the coming weeks. The project is scheduled to be complete in May 2019.
