MEDIA RELEASE - Congratulations and thank you to the outgoing CEO of the South West Development Commission

Following the announcement of the retirement of the Chief Executive Officer of the South West Development Commission (SWDC), Don Punch, the Shire President of the Shire of Manjimup is extending his thanks and congratulations to Mr Punch for the consistent support he has provided to the Shire of Manjimup and the whole of the South West.

"I had the privilege of working very closely with Mr Punch as a board member of the SWDC," said Cr DeCampo. "Throughout this period, the Shire has been very fortunate to have been successful in a number of areas, which can largely be attributed to the assistance, guidance and inspiration he has provided us."

Mr Punch has been with the South West Development Commission for 19 years, which Cr DeCampo says has resulted in him gaining experience and knowledge and is irreplaceable in the short to medium term.

"The Shire of Manjimup's strong representation in the South West Regional Blueprint was in no small part due to Mr Punch's exhaustive knowledge of the region and understanding of the aspirations and potential that exists here," added Cr DeCampo.

"His advocacy and passion for the South West will be sorely missed, but we are grateful for having had the opportunity to work with Mr Punch; he will forever be a friend of the region, particularly our Shire. We wish him all the very best in his future endeavours," concluded Cr DeCampo.
