We are all acutely aware of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic sweeping the world at present, the Shire wishes to assure community members that the situation is being closely monitored by the relevant health authorities.
Updates are received regularly from the Department of Health and we are being guided by the Department of Health's advice. A broad range of employees and the Shire President last week formed a committee to strategise and contingency plan for a range of scenarios that may affect our services to the community and to maintain core services to the Shire.
It is important during this time that you continue to keep updated through the Department of Health who are indicating that there will be a continued risk of COVID-19 through Western Australia from late April with August currently forecast to be the most dangerous period across the State.
