Media Release - Freestylers Swim School wins AUSTSWIM Award

Manjimup Regional AquaCentre Swim School 'Freestylers' winner of AUSTSWIM 2017 Recognised Swim Centre Award.
Freestylers, the Shire of Manjimup's Regional AquaCentre Swim School was announced as the winner of the Western Australian AUSTSWIM Recognised Swim Centre 2017, beating ten other teams.
Shire President Paul Omodei described the Swim School as a great service to Manjimup and the surrounding towns and congratulates the team on their success.
"To be the first regional centre to receive the award in ten years is a fantastic achievement and reward for the hard work and dedication of the teachers" said Cr Omodei
AUSTSWIM's recognition scheme is a method of acknowledging, promoting and providing exclusive benefits to swim centres committed to providing quality aquatic education programs. AUSTSWIM Recognition assists in safeguarding the interests of participants who seek to engage the services of AUSTSWIM Licensed Teachers through AUSTSWIM Recognised Swim Centres. The scheme offers quality assurance to the wider community, by recognising and promoting swim centres operating under industry guidelines for best practice, and with qualified teachers.
The award was presented on Saturday 8th July 2017 at the Western Australian AUSTSWIM Recognised Swim Centre 2017 conference, the largest conference since the 1980's
"This award now sees Freestylers nominated for the AUSTSWIM Recognised National Swim Centre 2017 which will be announced in QLD at the end of September 2017, added Cr Omodei.
