Last chance to capture your favourite faces in places
MEDIA RELEASE: Last chance to capture your favourite faces in places
September 2017
Spring has sprung and the school holidays are just around the corner. The Shire of Manjimup and Manjimup Photo Club Places and Faces Competition is still running until October, entrants are in the running to win from a prize pool of $4,500 and potentially see their photo appear in various publications for years to come.
The photos are required to meet two basic criteria to be eligible to enter the competition - they need to be taken within the Southern Forests region (Shire of Manjimup) and contain a person, or people enjoying themselves.
"Spring is a magnificent time in the Southern Forest region, orchards are flourishing with blossom, new growth is emerging everywhere, wildflowers are overtaking the forests, and the sun is shining," said President Paul Omodei.
"Grab your camera and favourite people and head to the beach, the bush or even your backyard and help us promote this magnificent region in pictures. Rediscover our tourist icons, walk one of the many trails, catch a fish, canoe a river or have a picnic in the park, but whatever you do be sure to take some pictures."
Further details, suggestions and associated entry forms are available from here - terms and conditions apply and an entry and authority form must be completed for every photo submission. Entries close on Friday, 20 October 2017. Photos will be displayed in the Manjimup Gallery and judged on Saturday, 28 October 2017. Winners will be announced on the day.
