Playgrounds, Outdoor Gyms and Skate Parks Remain Closed
The Shire of Manjimup advises the public that although the State Government is now permitting gatherings of up to ten people for weddings and funerals, outdoor personal training and home opens, the Shire's playgrounds, outdoor gym equipment and skate parks remain closed. This is in line with Government requirements and in the interests of our community to stop the spread of COVID-19.
"We have been doing a fantastic job in our Shire and across WA generally and this is what has allowed the loosening of some restrictions", commented Shire President Paul Omodei. "Minimising the use of shared equipment is still crucial in stopping the spread of the virus, we must not get complacent, we need to keep practicing good hygiene, social distancing and staying home except for essential outings.
The Shire of Manjimup thanks you for being careful and following the advice from the Commonwealth and State Governments to help protect our elderly and vulnerable community members.
