REID AND SHAW JOIN ACA MASTERS MANJIMUP TOUR
Fast bowling duo add firepower to ACA Masters squad
Bruce Reid and Nicky Shaw will play in Manjimup as part of the Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) Masters tour to the region from 27-29 October.
They will join former past legends for a Twenty20 game against a local representative XI on Friday 28 October at Collier Street Cricket Ground from 3:30pm. Entry is free.
Towering over batsmen at 6'8", Bruce Reid collected 113 Test wickets at 24.63 through awkward bounce and masterful left-arm pace bowling. He tore through England with 13 wickets during the 1990 Boxing Day Test to finish the series with 27 wickets at 16.00 in just four matches.
A former English vice-captain, Nicky Shaw terrorised rivals with clinical fast bowling that helped England rise to the top of women's cricket in the 2000s. A World Cup, World T20 and Ashes winner, Shaw bagged 76 international wickets and received the player of the match award for her performance in the 2009 World Cup Final, where she claimed 4/34 for a victorious England.
The pair will be in good company for the tour, called in alongside six already announced former international players, with the remainder of the touring party to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
