MEDIA RELEASE - Update on the Nockolds Street upgrade - Walpole

The Walpole Town Centre Revitalisation Committee and the Shire of Manjimup have been working together to plan and manage the upgrade of Walpole's main street.

The road and kerb works for the Nockolds Street upgrade is now complete. The new street furniture will be installed in early January 2017.

Landscaping to the median strip, located between Nockolds Street and the South Western Highway, will be delayed until Autumn/Winter 2017. This is due to widening works that have been proposed for the South Western Highway, which are currently being designed by Main Roads.

The Walpole Town Centre Revitalisation Committee and the Shire of Manjimup can now work together to consider further upgrades as part of a Stage two of the Nockolds Street upgrade. Future upgrades are subject to Council approval and the availability of funding.
