The Manjimup Regional AquaCentre is pleased to advise that the Shire of Manjimup has allocated funds in the 2020/21 financial year with support from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program funded by the Federal Government, to upgrade the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system at the AquaCentre.
The HVAC system maintains the inside air temperature and humidity levels within the AquaCentre. The current system has been in place at the AquaCentre since its opening in 2006 and has now reached the end of its lifespan.
"This important upgrade will ensure the inside air temperature is maintained at a comfortable level for customers year-round. The upgrade will also work to limit the condensation which is present throughout the building when the outside temperature is lower than the inside temperature" commented Paul Omodei.
The HVAC replacement project is due to be completed by mid-2021, with the aim to have the new system installed prior to the onset of winter. Once a suitable contractor has been appointed through a tender process, the equipment can be ordered and the new system can be installed.
The Manjimup Regional AquaCentre will continue to operate as normal for the duration of the installation. The water temperature will not be affected during this time. The inside air temperature may fluctuate dependent on the outside temperature. If you would like more information about this project, or wish to confirm the water temperature before you plan your visit, please call the AquaCentre on 9771 6960.
