Membership

Library membership is free and available to permanent residents of the Shire of Manjimup. As a library member, you can access over two million books, photos, artworks, documents, maps, manuscripts and more when you visit the library. Members can also log in to thousands of online databases, journals, magazines, ebooks and newspapers from around the world. Become a member of the library today by applying for a library card.

Full membership (permanent residents of the Shire of Manjimup)

If you bring

• a completed library membership form; and
• two forms of identification, a personal identification and a proof of address,

to the library we can issue a library card on the spot, which we will allow you to borrow up thirty items for three weeks.

Library membership is free for permanent residents of the Shire of Manjimup.

Deposit (interim) membership (non-resident of the Shire of Manjimup)

If you would like to become a library member but are not a resident of the Shire of Manjimup, you will need to pay a $50 deposit when you submit your membership form. The deposit will be refunded by the Shire of Manjimup when:

• you provide proof of a current Shire of Manjimup residential address to library staff; or
• you are leaving the Shire and return your card to library staff.

Deposit membership entitles you to borrow up to five items for three weeks.

Lite (temporary) membership (interstate and overseas visitors)

If you are visiting the Shire from interstate or overseas and would like access library resources during your stay, you will need to pay a $50 deposit.

The deposit will be refunded by the Shire of Manjimup when you are leaving the Shire and return your card to library staff.

Lite membership entitles you to borrow two resources for three weeks.

Your library card - your responsibility

Library cards remain the property of the library at all times. It is your responsibility to take proper care of it. You need to bring your card with you each time you visit the library.

Please inform us if you:

• change your address or contact details (so that we can update your user record); or
• lose your card (so that it can be cancelled and a new one issued);

Replacement cards can be issued at a cost of $2.00. You cannot borrow from the library without your card.
