The Shire of Manjimup is pleased to announce works are nearly completed on the 1.5m wide footpath along Ipsen Street in Manjimup from Arnott Street to Lintott Street in accordance with the Local Bicycle and Footpath Plan 2017-2027. The footpath renewal program is part of the Shire’s commitment to providing safe and accessible footpaths for all users. It is also expected to boost the local economy by supporting local businesses and creating jobs.
The Shire’s footpath maintenance and renewal schedule is budgeted annually and is informed by the Local Bicycle and Footpath Plan 2017-2027 which was completed in 2018 and superseded the 2008 Local Bike Plan.

With 40,136 metres of footpath in the Shire, the scheduled footpath maintenance and renewal schedule is progressing well. Over the past three years the Shire has completed approximately 2.2km of new or replacement footpaths across the towns of Manjimup, Pemberton, Northcliffe and Walpole, at a cost of approximately $850,000; and the successful completion of the path program this year, will result further substantial renewal and new footpath programs an increase spending on footpath capital works programs to $1.36 million.
