Code of Conduct
Shire of Manjimup employees are guided by a Code of Conduct to embrace a minimum standard of professional conduct.
The Code of Conduct is a requirement of Section 5.103 of the Local Government Act 1995 and Local Government (Rules of Conduct) Regulations 2007. It has been prepared using the requirements of the Act and also the Western Australian Local Government Association's Model Code of Conduct as a guide.
As of 3 February 2021, Councillors are guided by the Local Government (Model Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021 to embrace a minimum standard of professional conduct. The Code of Conduct as required under Section 5.103 of the Local Government Act now only applies to staff. A copy of the Councillor Model Code of Conduct can be found below.
