The Manjimup Regional AquaCentre is hosting celebrations this Saturday to launch the long-awaited, NEW pool inflatable.The whole community is invited to join the festivities.
"We're really proud of the progress that has been made at the AquaCentre over the last year and the new inflatable marks another milestone that is definitely worthy of a celebration. I hope to see families from across the Shire come along to join us," said Shire President Wade DeCampo.
"There has been quite some demand for a new pool inflatable, as the last one was decommissioned about four years ago," said Shire President Wade DeCampo.
AquaCentre staff member Belinda Parker conducted research into which inflatables would be suitable for the swimming pool at the AquaCentre, and narrowed the selection down to three. AquaCentre patrons were then invited to participate in a survey where they could 'vote' for which pool inflatable they liked the most.
Cr DeCampo explained that the new 'dual track' inflatable, which is being launched this Saturday, was by far the most popular, saying "out of over 90 responses, 50 plus were in favour of this inflatable."
The pool inflatable launch party for the new 'dual track' commences at 11am on Saturday 16 May at the AquaCentre. Additional pool inflatables, the 'sea saw' and the 'o-ring', will also feature on the day.
The day's celebrations will wind up with team games, which will include noodle races and a bombing competition, with refreshments available from Cafe Lil.
Children must be eight years or older to play on the inflatable.
