Holiday accommodation approvals
The Shire of Manjimup supports the need for a mix of effective holiday accommodation within the Shire. The development of holiday accommodation is dictated by the zoning of land in the Local Planning Scheme No. 4 (LPS4). Council may approve holiday accommodation via a development application provided it complies with the LPS4 and where it can be demonstrated that such facilities are compatible with the surrounding area.
Some types of holiday accommodation within certain zones are a permitted use and only require Council approval. Other types in certain zones also require advertising measures prior to Council approval. Some zones do not permit any type of holiday accommodation.
All types of holiday accommodation require an approved holiday accommodation development application prior to operating. Please refer to the information sheet for further information on what is required to be submitted with your application.
The different forms of holiday accommodation include:
Bed and breakfast | Backpackers |

Caravan park | Chalet/s |
